Chakra Health The human body can be divided up into 7 sections or chakras. Chakras are points of energy in the body. Below is a list of chakras, their physical locations, and their message or lesson for us. Any health situation and/or physical weakness can be traced to a specific chakra. 1st chakra is at the base of the spine. It is called the root chakra. (None of the major seven chakras are in the legs or feet.) 1st chakra teaches about ability to stand up for self. It is also about safety and security. 2nd chakra is located at the sexual organs. Its lessons can relate to power, control, and creativity. 3rd chakra is at the abdomen or stomach area. Fear, ability to nurture self, and self confidence issues are addressed here. 4th chakra is known as the heart chakra. Possible lessons are about love, loneliness, and forgiveness. 5th chakra is known as the throat chakra. The 5th teaches about speaking up, expressing yourself, judgment, and decisions. 6th chakra is at the Athird eye@(middle of the forehead). It is about truth, emotional intelligence, and being open to others who are different from ourselves. |
Chakra health continued... 7th chakra is known as the crown chakra and is located at the top of the head. Its lessons are faith, ability to trust, and courage. Now consider what it is that you want to improve or heal on your body. Determine which chakra rules that area of the body. Then look up which lesson you can learn. A problem in a specific body area means that there is some sort of weakness in your ability to manifest the positive traits which that particular chakra teaches about. For example, lets say that someone has headaches. See chakra number seven (7). Does this person have faith in themselves? Has a past situation caused them to lose the ability to trust themselves and others? Or perhaps some situation is causing fear (opposite of courage). Try it on yourself. Many healers believe that it is the state of mind or the way that a person is thinking that causes the discomfort/problem/disease. The body wants to be in harmony, so does the mind. When emotions or feelings are being ignored the thinker is hiding something from him/herself. This causes an imbalance in the energy and the chakras reflect this. Locate the chakra that covers the area you are working with and look at its lessons. Ask yourself and see if you could stand to learn a more of what that area has to teach. |

It Just IS! Here is the answer to all your questions and all your problems; it just is. If you have done the course lessons in A Course In Miracles, you may understand what is meant here. But you do not have to have done the ACourse in Miracles@ work in order to understand this. It is a basic truth - everything just is. It is we with our minds that assign things, feelings, and happenings their meanings. It is those meanings that we have assigned to things, that give us trouble. The meanings are not real or true. The truth is that - It Just IS! Now let me repeat here again; It is not what something is, but what you think about it. It is your thoughts that cause you the trouble (or give you happiness). If you could accept that a thing or situation just is, without any negative or positive judgement, it would not bother you. |
It Just Is continued... It is your thoughts or judgements that bother you, not the thing it=s self. We cannot change the thing that is, but we can change our thoughts about it! When you truly accept something, you are at peace with it as it is. If you are at peace with something as it is, you are able to transcend - to go above it. Things do not hurt from up there - above them. Test the theory with a question yourself. Ask the question and then answer; AIt just is.@ How does that feel? If it is new to you, it will be very uncomfortable. You may not even want to consider this truth. You may want to stay in the pain of your judgement. Does your judgement help you solve the problem? Ask me any question, give me the seemingly unsolvable problem. I will tell you that… It just is.@ |

Health Would you like to improve your health or heal an existing physical situation? The following are five areas that you can use to help create and maintain a healthy body. They are; Physical relates to Earth. Energy relates to Fire. Emotional relates to Water. Mental relates to Air. Spiritual relates to Ether. Ether is defined as the upper regions of space: the clear sky: the heavens. Physical - Earth Your body is an earthly thing that allows you to relate to the other earthly things. Is there a physical part of the body you want to heal? There could be something that needs to be gotten rid of. Your focus should be on what you want to keep or enhance rather than what is wrong. You want to make stronger the part that is working properly. This will aid the body part or organ=s ability to work better. Food is physical. AYou are what you eat@. Food in it=s natural state is always best. Food that is processed and full of preservatives is not optimum for building and maintaining a healthy body. Your body regenerates itself constantly. What materials are you using to rebuild your new healthy body? It is also helpful to develop a relationship with nature through plants, animals and the outdoors. Take up gardening, get some house plants and/or exercise outdoors. Energy - Fire Two things that will raise your energy are exercise and excitement! Energy can be gotten through exercise. You may want to take on an exercise program or make it a point to walk when ever you can. Park faraway and walk. |
Health continued... The more you move your body, the more energy you gain. Exercise takes away built up stress. It can relax your tensed muscles and give you more energy. Find something to get excited about. Have you ever been really tired after work and then you get a chance to do something you really want to do? All of a sudden you are not tired any more. Involve yourself in activities, do the things you love. It could be anything from reading to roller bladeing. Emotional - Water How do you take care of uncomfortable emotional feelings? Do you ignore them? You must acknowledge the emotion before you can clear it. Feel the physical connection to the emotion. Where do you feel it in your body, when you are sad?, happy?, fearful? or angry? Some positive ways to deal with your feelings could be to take a long bath, call a friend, do some vigorous exercise or go for a walk. Mental - Air Here is where the positive thinking comes in. When it comes to health we tend to look at what is wrong or what needs to be fixed. Learn to focus on what is working. Focus on what you desire. Read about, and study alternative methods of healing. In her book You Can Heal Your Life , Louise Hay tells us to say, "I approve of myself, and I am willing to change." Try it. Spiritual - Ether This area includes Meditation, Prayer, and any spiritual practices you may have. You may want to look at what you believe about God, Universal intelligence, Creator, Goddess or what ever you call that energy. Do you see God or Universe as something that is supposed to take care of you and heal you? Have you ever heard, AGod helps those who help themselves@? So help yourself by eating natural foods that are prepared with love, by exercising, by paying attention to your emotions, and by focusing on the positive. |

Successful Meditation? It does not matter how well you meditate, only that you give yourself that time alone inside each day. Learning meditation is just like learning to walk - except when we are children learning to walk we do not evaluate ourselves. It is not helpful to evaluate how quiet your mind is or is not. Set aside a specific amount of time that you are going to spend in meditation. Do at least 20 minutes at a time. You may do one session per day or even more times a day if possible. For that specified amount of time, say, 20 minutes, you must be still physically with eyes closed. Do not quit until at least 20 minutes have past. Again, it does not matter how well you do. It is okay if you don't have "quiet mind", or "focused concentration" or whatever you want to call that quiet, comes or does not come. Let whatever comes into the mind be okay. Whatever you experience is Aperfect@ (not good, not bad, just is, no judgement). You may spend the whole 20 minutes in the opposite of quiet mind. If that happens, just let that be okay. By sitting still with out trying to evaluate, you are telling the conscious mind that you will sit and stay in the meditation no matter how well you do or don=t do. (That is good for the conscious mind.) Also, know that only the conscious mind can evaluate how well you are doing or not. Conscious mind and meditation do not work together. You would probably know if you did get focused concentration not during, but after your mediation session was over. |
Meditation continued... Because the conscious mind and quiet do not share the space in the mind so well, one or the other will be the observer. Observer does not evaluate, it only observes. Remember; -Practice sitting quietly for 20 or more minutes at a time daily. -Sooner or later you will improve. Of course there is no goal, hence no evaluation. -It is a joy to sit quietly. You are disciplining the body and the mind. And -Know that no matter how well you do at meditation - just attempting it will make the rest of the day better. Keep practicing. It is not the destination it is the journey. Most of us have a personal reason for wanting meditation to work: a goal, something that you were trying to achieve through meditation. Again it is not the destination! Keep it up and you will get better and better, you will get it. When you least expect it you will get out of your way. When you have been meditating for a long time you will be able to look back and see that some sessions are deeper than others. Peace always exists inside of you! |

Love is the experience we long to feel with a significant other. The feeling is a memory from the part of you that is "the one, the God, the all". Have you ever felt like you had a deep emptiness to fill and then would long for completeness by joining with another? So what, we should put two incompletes together? We are looking for the same deep connection, but that does not necessarily mean we can fulfill each others need for it. The key here is that no other can give you this. That "connection" is made within. It is what I call the "other half" theory. |
Love continued... Your "other half" is within you. Quit looking outside of yourself. It is your connection to God, the memory of when we were all one with God, that you seek. That feeling can, and still does exist. It is an illusion that we are NOT all ONE. So, we look to join with other humans to get the feeling. We already have it! It IS okay to join with others. You get close, you look in to someone's eyes and you are reminded of the beautiful love filled place that you came from long ago, when we were all one. So again you long for joining. We all feel this and we seek love outside ourselves. Take time to cultivate your connection to that feeling. Yes, you can and will have a mate. The stronger the faith or trust in that "connection", the better your relationship/s with others will be. You want a "Whole Mate" but first you must become whole yourself. |
